After obtaining my degree in finance, I pursued a career in the insurance industry. It was a great starting point, but I quickly realized I wanted to do more to help people plan for their future. That led me to earn my securities license, and I've been working in financial services for over 30 years.
In 2006, I founded Martone Financial Group with a clear goal: to build a business focused on relationships, trust, and honest advice. Over the years, a lot has changed in the industry, but my approach has stayed the same. I take the time to really get to know my clients, what they've worked for, what matters most to them, and what they want their future to look like.
I believe in keeping things simple and straightforward. Financial decisions can feel overwhelming, but my job is to make sure they don't have to be. I want every client to leave a conversation feeling clear, confident, and comfortable with the decisions they're making. It's important to me that people understand not just what they're doing, but why.
The part of this work I enjoy the most is the people. Every client has a different story, and I value the trust they place in me to be part of their journey. Whether someone is just getting started or planning for retirement, I take pride in being someone they can rely on for guidance and support along the way.
Outside of work, I live in Salem, New Hampshire, with my fiancé, Karen, and our four kids: Michael, Nicole, Lauren, and Matt. Family is a big part of my life and keeps me grounded. I try to lead by example and remind my kids that success comes from hard work, consistency, and not taking things for granted.
When I'm not at the office, you will probably find me on a bike. I've spent many years cycling, and earlier in life, I competed in numerous triathlons, including full Ironman races. These days, I still enjoy cycling, along with golf, and I am actively involved in the local cycling community.
At the end of the day, what matters most to me is helping people feel confident about their future. It's something I take seriously, and something I'm proud to do every day.
